We were a group of 10 from the U.S. that sailed on the Aquarius - Saona 47 with skipper Dino Rizvic. Our trip was absolutely incredible, and Dino was the best skipper I've ever experienced. We even had a medical emergency aboard the boat and he safely navigated us 2 hours in the dark to get that person to the closest hospital, and coordinated the ambulance for us as well. Dino was super knowledgeable, fun, and took us to the best swimming spots and small villages on the islands. Before we arrived in Croatia, he did a phone call with me to help determine what kind of experience we wanted to have, then sent us a proposed itinerary to review. And he knocked it out of the park! We departed out of Biograd na Moru and sailed south, hitting spots such as Kornati National Park, Krka National Park, the Sibenski Channel, and lots of small islands and coves in between. He even helped us transport our food and beverages from the grocery store to the boat in his own car on load-in day! The Saona 47 had plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the 10 of us to hang out -- we never felt cramped -- and the kitchen was well equipped for a party our size. Overall, we couldn't recommend Active Sailing -- and sailing with Dino as your skipper -- more! We're already talking about when we can sail with Dino again. Thank you!

Janez made a great effort to find just the boat that matched our requirements. We couldn't have done it better ourselves. A skipper and hostess were provided and everything was very nice. Thank you for that. Family with 2 x 2 adults and 1 child. Lovely cabins each with its own bathroom and toilet in each of our pontoons. Lots of space outside and inside 47 foot Saona NINA V. Croatia is a sailing paradise.

Amazing experience with Janez and Simona. I was a skipper booked by their agency many times. Boats that they booked were always in perfect conditions. Guests were well prepared and informed about sailing trip and of way how it's function. Always a pleasure to work with them. Recommendation to everyone!

We did our first family charter from ACI Marina, Trogir, on a Bavaria 34. It was a fantastic holiday from start to finish. Support from Simone / Active Sailing getting everything booked ( & the boat provisioned) was great, the airport is 10mins in a taxi and our hotel was 5 min walk from the marina.
Checking in was easy, and the boat hand over too. We went for early embarkation and was glad we did, as it means you can get out before the 5pm rush. We spent the first night on anchor 1hr from the marina and it was idilic. No one else there after dusk.

Support from the yacht charterer was 100%, phone support 24hr and a fast RIB available to call out if needed.

The islands of Brač and Solta were amazing, 1 week isnt enough to see them properly. We stayed in a different place every night, from marinas, to moorings and at anchor.

We only sailed the East coast of Brač and Solta and will come back next year for 2 weeks and see the west coast.

I wanted to thank you for helping us pull our charter together. The boat worked out great for our family. Your communication really helped us feel prepared for the week.
I especially wanted to also thank Bojan Plevnik. We had a great time with him. We had a high level of communication which resulted in a wonderful experience. I would request him again for another charter.

We just want to thank you both again for an incredible trip for our group. The boat was great and Bojan was fun and kept us all in line, safe, informed, and while devising and navigating the perfect itinerary to balance quiet unique bays with a couple of towns and meals out with as much sail-up time as the weather permitted. Saturday is a bit hectic, but makes setting sail that first evening well deserved and a true adventurous launch. Fun!

We have just returned from an incredible week sailing around the southern islands off the coast of Croatia. It was always a dream of mine to have this experience, and turning it into a reality with a few of my closest friends to celebrate my 50th birthday has been a truly once in a lifetime experience. From the very beginning of working with Active Sailing, where every question and idea I had was responded to immediately, through to the actual beginning of the trip itself, had been a flawless process.
The boat itself, a Kufner 50 sailboat was fabulous, the islands amazing and a special word has to go to our mighty skipper, Branimir, who helped organise our schedule, understood precisely what we were looking for each day, came up with the best insider tip restaurants, and was just an all round great person to have on board with us for a week. Such special memories have been created- I’m already looking forward to planning the next Active Sailing.

Thanks again for all your effort - it was such a smooth process from beginning to end. At a beginning it was a bit difficult for us to go into a yacht charter booking process with less known local company. However, the swift feedback from Active Sailing team, that provided best boat for our needs including the priceless itinerary tips & recommendations made us feel extra comfortable during the payment of our yacht plus getting the skipper service that met our expectations and beyond. Well, 3rd year running with Active Sailing and Team of experienced local Skipper’s, as previously we did not arrive with a tick list from Trip Advisor and trusted our Skipper’s local knowledge to follow the wind and weather searching out beautiful locations with amazing traditional hospitality. Fantastic restaurants serving catch of the day and traditional dishes cooked under a Bell.
Another fantastic week of adrenaline pumping upwind and relaxing, ’Tan Topping’ off, downwind Sailing. We have already booked 2 weeks for next year ! If you don’t book this year you will be a year older when you do !

We did just enough big spots but focused on the best parts. His restaurant recommendations and reservations were amazing.

A 5-day sailing trip in Croatia at the end of September was an experience of a lifetime. The skipper and hostess, Ivan and Iva, welcomed me like family. I felt safe and well taken care of as I was travelling alone during my time with them. I loved the islands and culture they showed me and will truly never forget this experience. I can’t wait to come back!

The people at the base were very friendly and helpful. The ship was ready on time and in perfect conditions. We had a wonderful week in the islands and visited stunning moorings.

I had one dream and that was to make memories!  Memories were not only made but lives were also changed. 😃 I came on this trip with a lot of worries as I wanted it to be just right. The four of you were all amazing in how you professionally handled our group, the weather and any situation that was encountered during the week.

Each of you showed us your passion for the water and the sport of sailing. Croatia is beautiful and I know at times you may take it for granted but I hope I can reassure each of you that how you do your job, you show us that it is not only just a job but a love for the water the boat and the wind.  

I feel so blessed to have met each of you and see how you do your craft bringing all of those elements together!

Just returned back from Croatia where we chartered a sailboat Oceanis 45 in a charming town Trogir. We really had a special and unique 7-day yachting experience which was only possible with the expertise of the local skipper. I didn’t realise the importance of a knowledgeable skipper for firstly feeling safe at sea but secondly for the guidance of the trip.

We had an unforgettable sailing holiday and it will always be a trip we remember and cherish

My family of 10 recently travelled from Trogir, Croatia to Dubrovnik on a catamaran for 5 days. The trip was amazing and we cannot thank our Captain Jozo enough. Our children refer fondly to Jozo as James Bond-always right there when you need him 😃 and quietly ensuring that their trip would be nothing short of spectacular.
Jozo’s knowledge of sailing and the beautiful country of Croatia truly gave us an experience of a lifetime. Under his recommendations we were fortunate enough to see parts of some of the islands that have created memorable experiences of a lifetime.

We took a 2-week Zadar sailing itinerary in July 2022. It was a great recommendation from Active Sailing team especially on choosing the seaworthy sailboat on which we would feel safe and comfortable during our 14-day sailing trip.

She definitely sailed fast and nicely. We spent more than half our days in a tranquil Kornati national park, sailing several hours each day out and back into the Adriatic with great winds and no other boats😃.
Discovering amazing seaside restaurants inside the park was the highlight for us while the kids took the advantage of snorkelling in azure blue waters.

A perfect holiday. It had everything, great sailing, swimming, sun and food. Janez and Simona were both very welcoming and made the holiday with their warmth and good humour.

Skipper Janez knew all the anchoring spots which meant we could escape the crowds. Simona produced amazing meals. I would go back in a heartbeat.
