Yes. Most of the yacht charter companies in Croatia approve that option. Deposit insurance is the sum that should cover the damages. And it is non-refundable. The amount depends on the age, the length and the insurance policy of the vessel. Usual amount is from (200-300€). Please let your agency know beforehand, that you want an insurance prepaid. 

Some charters demand also a small refundable part (10%)to cover the damages like fee for unblocking the toilet, lost/damaged dinghy or outboard engine, gross negligence damage, vandalism and if the yacht is not fueled at the return.

 

When it comes to navigation and safety at sea, skipper is fully in charge of the yacht. He should have well developed organisation and communication skills, to harmonise the crew's wishes with the actual maritime situation. A good skipper should make the guests aboard feel comfortable, relaxed and safe on their sailing trip. Croatian skippers are communicative, opened and full of tips for guests visiting this hidden Mediterranean gem.

 

A leisurely round trip in Croatia usually takes 7 days. Within main season (July, August), yacht charters in Croatia start and end Saturdays. In shoulder season months a short sailing trip can be also arranged. For 40-foot catamaran local port fees start at 70€/night and it can go up to 150€/berth in some top marinas. The final cost is mostly up to the exact boat length and marina quality service. Price usually includes fresh water refill, shore power, toilet and bathroom facilities. Buoy charge ranges from 25 to 40€. Anchoring is free of charge.
