Skipper's fee on private yacht charters in Croatia ranges between 1.000 & 1.400 euros per week, depending on the size and type (catamaran or a sailboat) of the yacht.

Sailing from Split on a crewed catamaran following an alternative sailing itinerary is certainly the most relaxing and indulgent way to experience myriad of beautiful south Dalmatian islands. This route provides a unique opportunity to explore popular Croatian islands Hvar, Korčula, Vis and Brač with avoiding crowds at the same time.

In these uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 outbreak is hard to think of a better vacation then rental of a private yacht. Taking a relaxed sailing trip with your close ones to explore hundreds, mostly uninhabited Croatian islands is at the moment probably the safest holiday. Staying isolated from busy mainland cities in the fresh ocean air, absorbing pleasant sunbeams in the company of the people you know is best way to reduce the chance of getting infected with Coronavirus.

A skippered charter is the ultimate Croatia sailing charter experience. Sailing in Croatia with skipper gives you an exclusive opportunity to relax and enjoy your holiday, while the skipper takes care of the boat. When it comes to navigation and safety at sea, skipper is fully in charge of the yacht.

He should have well developed organisation and communication skills, to harmonize the guest's wishes with actual maritime situation at sea. A good skipper should make the guests aboard feel comfortable, relaxed and safe on their sailing trip. Croatian skippers are multi lingual, communicative, open-minded and full of internal tips that you can use during your vacation in Croatia.

Booking a hostess for your sailing trip in Croatia will assure you some extra free time on board, more relaxing vacation moments and a care-free sailing holiday in Croatia. They are all fluent in English and sometimes also multilingual. Together with your skipper, they will give their very best to make your time on board an indulging one-of-a-kind experience.

Here are some basic assignments that a hostess does:

  • keeping all areas on yacht clean and tidy
  • handling the provisioning throughout the trip (shopping for supplies, taking care of fresh food before and during your trip)
  • she prepares and serves two light meals daily (breakfast and one simple lunch). Extra meals are option with an additional fee.
  • washes the dishes, cleans the galley and salon

Hostess fee starts at 140€ per day and can go up to 180€, depending on how many assignments she has. This fee does not include the meals; she can join you for meals or allow 30€ pocket money per crew member per day.

Tip 1: We advise, that you give her some APA money (advanced provisioning allowance) so that she has enough to pay for the daily shopping.

Tip 2:When you hire a hostess you already get 2 meals included. That gives you more free time to explore the islands and have your dinner outside. Especially if you wish to taste Dalmatian specialties in typical family-run taverns called "konoba". With their local knowledge and experience, a hostess will be happy to recommend best local restaurants.

TIP3: if you wish multilingual crew, book ASAP, since they get booked very fast!
